This blog is dedicated to the relentless pursuit of adventure and discovery! To breathtaking moments and new experiences. To amazing people and iconic places. To love and laughter and the most DELICIOUS gelato that the world has to offer (#GelatoIsLife). I have had the privilege of traveling to 28 countries on six continents, and this experience has changed me in ways that I never would have imagined. I have had my fair share of travel successes and failures, and I’m here to share what I’ve learned! Stop by for travel tales, tips and tricks, tasty treats, and bucket list updates.

My name, Eva del Aire, comes from a nickname that my Dominican “mom”–Mamá–gave to me. Mamá is the mother of one of my closest friends, and she adopted me into the family on my first visit to the Dominican Republic more than a decade ago. Mamá and I usually check in on the weekends, and I was always telling her that I was in Spain or Cuba or Morocco or Italy. So Mamá started calling me “Eva del Aire” (Eva of the Air), because I was always flying somewhere. I loved the name, and it stuck!

People always ask me what inspired my love of travel. When I was 19 years old, I got my first passport stamp, in London, on my way to study abroad in Spain. Since then, travel has introduced me to some of my closest friends. Travel has taught me to appreciate the beauty of diverse cultures and has given me the ability to connect with new people. Travel was my gateway to learning new languages and tasting new and delicious foods. Travel brought the world to my fingertips and challenged me to view myself in new ways. Every time I travel, I learn something new. Every time I travel, I grow a little bit more. My ultimate travel goal is to make it to every country in the world. And by the end of that journey, I hope to have learned so much and grown so much that I’ll be the best version of myself.
